Microscale Spaceship

I am always impressed with microscale models. It is truly amazing what builders like 2001fantasia can do. The hard thing about building such small scale models with LEGO is that the individual pieces are really big compared to the overall size. You have to get very creative and use what you have to create the illusion that you have a tiny model of a very big thing. This model captures that illusion perfectly.

I love the pinched section in the middle of this spaceship. It gives the impression that the rear section of the ship is all about the engine and mechanical equipment for the ship. The forward area could be crew quarters, or cargo space. Overall, the ship has a distinctly utilitarian look to it, that is very appealing.
